Menu Plan TUESDAY

I don't know how many readers I actually have or is you have noticed my attempt at consistency . . . but I try to plan my menus on Monday, but because of the holiday, it is coming today instead. We had a fun holiday giving pedicures to my DD's friends and watching Princess Diaries - so I feel totally pampered and ready for a new week and I get to end it with a GNO with my beautiful sisters - how great is that? Well . . . onto the plan . . .



Monday, February 21st

B- Popeye Pancakes (AKA German Pancakes) ($1.25)
L- Bean & Cheese Burritos ($1.25)
D- Spaghetti, Salad, Bread, & Creamed Corn ($1.50)
Dessert - Frosted cupcakes leftover from party ($.50)
Total = $4.50


Tuesday, February 22nd

Friday, February 25th DATE NIGHT!!! Yippee! Yippee! *Lest you think we don't date regularly, we do, but being a necessarily frugal as we are right now, most of our dates are at home once all the kids are in bed. Thankfully, they are used to our schedule and leave us alone and go to bed at 7pm on Friday nights so that we can enjoy our dates, but tonight . . . we get to go out! Yippee! And we have FREE Sitters!
B- Smoothies & Toast ($1)
Snack - Ants on a Log (Celery, Raisins, PB) $.50
L- Mac & Cheese ($.50)
Snack - Oatmeal Cookies** ($.50)
D- Out to eat at Marriott (paid $2 a few months ago for $25 at Restaurant.com - if you haven't tried this yet, you've got to, it is the only way to go out to eat when you are on a tight budget)
Kids- EAT PIZZA** ($2)
GIRLS NIGHT OUT - Healthy Snack - Homemade Pretzels :) ($.25)
TOTAL: $4.7 + Eating Out = $15 = $20 Total


Saturday, February 26th
B- Pancakes & Eggs ($1.50)
L- Tomato Soup & Crackers ($1.50)
D- Hamburgers, Carrots and Baked Fries (our traditional) ($5)
TOTAL: $8


Sunday, February 27th
B- Cold Cereals (this is when we break out the sugar cereals) $1.50
L- Tunafish Sandwiches $1
D- Sweet & Sour Chicken, Potatoes/Rice, Jello Salad, Green Salad, Carrots ($5.25)
Dessert - Apple/Peach something (kids decide from what we have on hand) ($1)
TOTAL: $8.75

WEEKLY TOTAL: $41.35 + Out to dinner = $56-60 for the week, but that is with the splurge of out to eat!

Another week is here and I am behind already! Yikes. Let's see what we should eat:



Monday, Oct. 11th (Columbus Day!)

Breakfast: Cereal ($1)

Lunch: PB&J, Beans, Pears ($.25)

Snack: Popcorn ($.08)

Dinner: Ribs, Potatoes, Baked Beans, & Salad ($6)

Family Night Treats: Rice Krispie Treats ($1)

TOTAL = 8.33



Tuesday, Oct. 12th

Breakfast: Apricot Smoothies ($.50)

Lunch: Rib Meat Sandwiches (Leftovers), garden carrots & pears ($.25)

Snack: Rice Krispie Treats, leftovers

Dinner: Wacky Mac with Marinara Sauce and sauted zucchini, salad ***Make 5x Marinara Sauce and freeze 4 pkgs to use up tomatoes that didn't seal a few weeks ago*** Total for all $3

Wednesday, Oct. 13th
Breakfast: Oatmeal ($.25)
Lunch: Tuna Fish Sandwiches, Carrots & Cherries or Fruit Cocktail?
Snack: Pudding ($.59)

It's been a while since I've had a menu plan - sorry - life is C-C-Crazy!

Monday, September 27th
Breakfast: Yogurt & Granola ($1)
Snack: Leftover muffins ($.25)
Lunch: Applebees to celebrate ($25 gift card) = $7 for 4 after tip, etc.
Dinner: Hawaiian Haystacks with seaweed - DELICIOUS! $2

Tuesday, September 28th
Breakfast: Waffles, Bananas & Strawberries ($1) I love my garden for strawberries!
Snacks: Bananas/Pretzels ($.25)
Lunch: PB&J, Garden Beans, Bottled Pears ($1)
Dinner: Broccoli-Veggie Soup (again much from the garden) & Zucchini Pizza ($2)

Wednesday, September 29th
Breakfast: Cereal $1.50
Snack: Pears/Muffins (leftovers) ($.15)
Lunch: Cheese Sandwiches (school=PB&J), Beans, & Applesauce = $.50
Snack: Popcorn ($.10)
Dinner: Cafe Rio ($2)

Thursday, September 30th
Breakfast: Oatmeal & Raisins ($.35) (oatmeal is 2 cents per serving for my 50 lb bag at Macey's that I bought last week - that's quite the deal, I'd say!)

Lunch: Tuna Fish, Garden Carrots, Peaches ($.50)
Snack: Jello Jigglers ($1)
Dinner: White Chicken Chili leftovers ($2)

Friday, OCTOBER 1st

LUNCH: Spaghettios & Applesauce ($1)
SNACK: Dry Cereal ($.25) & Popcorn ($.05)
DINNER: Oriental Chinese Chicken Salad (with my OWN garden-grown cabbage) $2
Banana Muffins ($.75)
Green Beans or Zucchini from the garden
DESSERT: Cherry Cheesecake ($1.50)
TOTAL = $8.05

Tuesday - Turkey Casserole, Salad, Beans ($3.50 - Turkeys been bought and frozen too long to count)



Wednesday - Cafe Rio Pork (in freezer), Rice, Beans, Toppings, and Salad ($4)




Thursday - Vegetarian Chili, bread, salad ($4.00)



Friday - Hawaiian Pizza Night Stuffed Pizza(Freeze 2) ($4)



Saturday - Party Night - Pinto and Pasta Salad ($7.01)
On second thought - try this Balsamic Pasta Salad ($6)



Sunday - Chicken Parmigiana, Couscous, Jello Salad, Normandy Veggies, Fancy Dessert ($7)

Total for the week: $33.50 for dinners - just under $5/meal

Other Home Preparations: Granola & Granola Bars

Plans for following week with some ingredients used:

Red Stroganoff (to use rest of 1 quart tomato juice)
Baked Potato Bar (to use part of chili)

Thursday - White Chicken Chili, Breadsticks, Salad - plus some to freeze ($5)

Friday - Sweet and Sour Meatballs on Rice, Salad, Strawberries, and Ice Cream ($6)

Saturday - Tomato Soup, Salad, Crackers ($2.50)

Sunday - Barbecued Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Normandy Vegetables, Rolls, Ice Cream and Strawberries ($6.50)
