A good savings week!

I have finished my shopping for the week.

The VERDICT: I spent $59.77.
The SAVINGS: $119.32 or 66.6%
TIME IT TOOK: Less than 2.5 hours = $50.77/hr for my savings job! :)

Things I bought:

6 bars Dove soap at Walgreens (I took advantage of a $6 RR glitch - I bought 3 Dove bars for 99 cents each with in-ad Q, got $6 back, used it to buy the rest of my stuff PLUS 3 more Dove bars - I didn't get another $6 RR, but didn't pay anything for the 6 bars of soap - happy day!),
two 200-ft Glad Wrap $1.49 each
2 Got2B styling aids BOGO = $6 for 2 - $2 Q = $4 for 2
Protractor = $.59
Notebook = $.49
$4 RR Q from 2 weeks ago AND $6 RR from Dove soap
TOTAL AT WALGREENS= $5.16 - WOW!!! Happy Day - Savings of $27.59 or 84.2%
12 items for about $.43 each - yippee!!

Bought 52 items for an average of $.78 each!!! Yippee!

A happy shopping week. I told my hubby that my shopper's saving fix was filled :)

Good luck -- Sorry I didn't post where I got these ideas - Walgreens was all over the place - try Dixie Coupon Chick, Grocery Smarts, and a random post - unfortunately the $6 RR glitch was fixed or I would have added another $3 to my list AND 9 more bars of soap!!! :) Smiths was through Savvy Shopper Deals and Grocery Smarts; & Sunflower was just their ads and Double ads for Wednesday - I used last weeks add on Cherries and this week's on grapes - we are going to be HAPPY!

Sunflower Farmer's Market

Did I mention that there is a Sunflower Farmers Market on the way to almost everything? There is and they had a great sale this past week. I was able to get the following happy items:

ORGANIC Red & Green Leaf Lettuce for 99 cents each (I bought 3)
Ground Beef for $1.68/lb (I bought about 30 lbs between 2 trips)
Strawberries for $.88/lb - limit 4 (I went twice so I could get a few more to freeze)

Happiness. So, in my purchases, I Spent:

Total out of pocket = $72.88 (ouch, I know, but it is all in the name of food storage and MEAT!)
Savings = $105.54 or 59.2% (ahh! That sounds better)
Amount per item = $1.40 (this is divided into lb/meat and strawberries, etc.)

I do like that store when I can get a good savings, good meat, and good food!

Other Grocery Store Deals

To simplify, I wanted to make a major grocery store post. My recommendation of the week is Smiths for pasta, cereal & milk. Get other items that you need if you can there. Otherwise, here are some other good deals I cannot resist posting (or probably grabbing if I happen to drive by the store)

**NOTE** It is my goal to only visit one grocery store each week! That saves time, gas, and headaches. That said, if I know there is an awesome deal, I'll keep coupons ready and handy just in case we drive near one and I can run in and grab ONLY those things on my list.
